Following an enthusiastic meeting last week, we are looking towards developing the successor to the Good News magazine which saw its final edition in December. The new publication will probably be published three times a year, and will be a vehicle for communication across the Team, enabling us to share what is happening in our churches with each other and further afield.…

With last February’s cold and snowy weather in mind, it was decided to bring the proposed visit to Gates forward to December, and notices were put into the pewsheet to that effect. A dozen or so of us met on 6 December in the restaurant and spent a very pleasant morning with coffee, cake and friendly chatter, before having a look at…

The last three months of 2018 saw a total figure of £1,715.17, an AMAZING amount, and my thanks go to everyone who stepped up to the plate to support Traidcraft at this difficult time for them. Of this figure I can also identify over £1,200.00 as being sales specific to Christmas, not only sales on Sunday mornings but also the Autumn sale…

This time not for donations but to try and find people we have yet to reach. The Trussell Trust stats show just what categories they may fall into. Are they too proud to ask for help? Don’t know how to access us or the referral agencies? Don’t know about us? Elderly with the dilemma of choosing between heating and eating? Please help.…

Our Heritage Lottery funding for 2019 has been confirmed and this allows us to make the blocking work inside the church permanent. The bats can continue to roost in the south aisle roof, but this work prevents them getting into the interior of the church and will stop the fouling of the pews, walls and floors, so everyone – bats and humans…
A big thank you to the many people across the village who have made generous donations towards the urgent repairs required to keep our village Church watertight. Revd Iain Osborne has been in touch with Mary’s family, who want to pass on her thanks for our prayers in her recent poor health. Please keep praying, and she also greatly appreciates cards and letters (she is in Belton House Retirement Home, Littleworth Lane, Belton In Rutland, Oakham, LE15 9JZ).
