Celebrating over 40 years of Good News!

Celebrating over 40 years of Good News!
Some things just happen, and the Parish Good News Magazine has for so many years ‘just happened’ thanks to David and Meg Dyer’s faithful service. David started the magazine initially as a Braunston parish news sheet in the late 70’s. That morphed into News from the Gwash in the early 80’s supporting the first amalgamation of village parishes. With growing success it became the Oakham Team Good News magazine covering all the parishes, yet the production and editorial staff remained David supported by Meg. In the early days there were no PCs and electronic printers so it was even more of a challenge than today. December will be David’s last edition in charge and we want to take this opportunity to thank them for their faithfulness and dedication to making the magazine happen every month come rain or shine. For many people producing and editing the parish magazine would be their main act of service but for the Dyers it has been just one of many, many areas of service to Christ in Rutland and the wider church. To David & Meg – thank you from all your readers and God bless you! P.S. We await with interest the deliberations of the working party on how and what form the Good News will take in the New Year.
