Langham Church is delighted that the Christmas Festival will return again this year after a two-year break.
What is Happening?
Friday 6 December: Gala Concert in the church to open the Festival at 7.30pm featuring Jackie Morrison, renowned local singer and actress. The tickets are £15, which will also include complementary mulled wine and lots of delicious canapés. Anyone who exhibits will receive one free ticket.
Saturday 7 December: Festival open from 10am until 6pm. In addition to the display in the church there will be workshops and children’s activities running alongside. Details will be added below when finalised. Entry is £2 for adults with accompanied children free.
Also on Saturday from 10am until 4pm in the Village Hall will be a Craft Fair and refreshments, including coffee and cakes, light lunches and teas. Entry is FREE.
Sunday 8 December: Festival open from 10am until 4pm. Light refreshments will be available in the church. At 4pm to close the festival we will be holding a service of ‘Carols among the Trees’ – so come and join in all the old favourites and a few new ones and get the season started- all welcome!
Want to join the fun?
This year we are asking for exhibits of Decorated Trees, or Cribs or Angels.
There is no particular theme to constrain you so your design can go wherever your imagination leads!
If you have been to previous festivals you will know that we have a very wide variety of exhibits in all sorts of mediums, big and small.
This year we are also including angels for the first time – again: big, small, single or grouped, 3D or 2D… whatever you fancy!
If you decide on a tree, you will need to provide a set of lights for it but we will supply extension cables etc. You can use a real or an artificial tree (or any structure representing a tree). We have an arrangement with Digby Trees and can obtain trees direct from them if required – please let us know if you need further information and prices.
Set up for the exhibits is the week before, on Monday 2 and Tuesday 3 December between 3pm and 6pm. Please let us know if these times are not possible for you.
There would be no Festival without the generosity of our exhibitors, so by way of a thank you each entry will be awarded a free ticket to our Gala Concert on the Friday (see above).
Want to Exhibit?
PLEASE, PLEASE, let us know by Friday 18 October if you would like to enter an exhibit. This may sound early but we really do need to know what we have coming in order to plan a successful Festival. Late entries may be accepted but please help us – the earlier we know the better.
For any additional information and for answers to further questions please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Once again – enormous thanks for your support!
